Summer’s DanceWorks dancers and teachers celebrated their recent victories at the STARBOUND National Talent Competition in Gilbert. They received 11 Elite Gold Awards, 7 High Golds, and 9 overall top scores. These wins included:

• Overall Top Competitive Teen Group for “LET’S PLAY A GAME” Choreographed by Dusty Jones

• Overall Top Competitive Senior Group for “SHOWSTOPPERS”, Choreographed by Ali Baker

• Overall Top Teacher Group Production for “HAIRSPRAY”, Choreographed by Summer Hinton and Jamie Hershman, which included 43 dancers ranging in age from 6-years-old to Adult

• Overall Top Junior Group and Special Judges Energy Award for “BABY, I’M A STAR” Choreographed by Summer Hinton

Maggie Rahtbun’s Student Choreography for “HEART SHAPED BOX” received an Elite Gold and 4th Overall in Teen Competitive Groups

Ellah Perry, 10-years-old and a 5th grader at Abia Judd, won the Title of Jr. Miss Starbound with her solo “I’M ME” choreographed by Rhianna Adams.

Also, Summer’s DanceWorks was awarded the TOP Technique Award and the Spirit Award.
