The Yavapai Group of Sierra Club will offer its annual update on how well the Arizona Legislature is governing the environment from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at the Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 882 Sunset Ave. (behind True Value Hardware) in Prescott.

Sandy Bahr, Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter director and designated Capitol advocate, will present the 2018 Legislative Report Card, which rates legislators’ votes on important issues.

Friday’s free public presentation also will cover legislative plans for 2019 and how residents can help protect Arizona’s air, land, water and wildlife from the legislators’ bad ideas and even worse legislation by joining the Request to Speak system.

Bahr has more than a decade of experience as chapter director, conservation advocate and legislative watchdog. She will share information and stories, and provide time at the end to answer questions.
