FLAGSTAFF — Bradshaw Mountain’s wrestling team placed third in a five-way Division III, Section IV dual meet Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Coconino High School, after finishing with a 2-2 record.

The Bears defeated Kingman, 67-12, and Payson, 56-24, but succumbed to Show Low, 57-18, and Coconino, 35-28.

Individually for Bradshaw Mountain, 170-pounder Parker Hines led the way by going unbeaten on the day at 4-0.

Blake Huenemeyer at 113 pounds, David Medevielle at 126, Titus King at 132 and Sam Denman at 138 each went 3-1.


Bradshaw Mountain will compete at the annual Doc Wright Invitational at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Winslow High School in Winslow. The Bears will subsequently wrestle Northland Prep and Kingman at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Kingman High School in Kingman.
