The Dewey-Humboldt Historical Society offers a full evening of music and verse at its annual Cowboy Poetry and Campfire Music event from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, inside Little Dealers Little Prices, 2757 N. Truwood Dr. in Prescott Valley.

Mayer poet Don Fernwalt, Prescott’s rancher/poet Gail Steiger and author/poet Amy Hale-Auker headline the event with their talented renditions of prose, verse and melody. A special reading also will take place by the Humboldt Elementary School poetry winners.

Bob Wood will provide his version of popular campfire songs, and Joe Konkel and Friends will keep the toes tapping with their Western music.

Proceeds from this event go directly to the Dewey-Humboldt Historical Society which continues its work on establishing the outdoor museum at Mortimer Farms.

Tickets are available at the door, at Gifts and Games in the Humboldt Station, through the mail by check made payable to Dewey-Humboldt Historical Society, P.O. Box 85, Humboldt, AZ 86329, or by Pay Pal through the website: deweyhumboldthistorical society.org. Tickets are $15, and children 12 and younger are free. Space is limited to 80 seats.
