Larry Douglas Scott (Scotty)

Larry Douglas Scott (Scotty) was born in Hickman, NE. He died at age 77 in Prescott, AZ on Oct. 3, 2018 after a short illness.

He was a huge Cornhusker fan and loved to play the horses. He was very charismatic and loved to share many stories from his past. He was a volunteer at the YRMC East campus as Monday’s mailman since 2013.

He was generous, trustworthy and had a huge heart.

He joined the Navy in 1960, and spent 3 years on the USS Los Angeles. He then worked for 31 years for Goodyear Manufacturing in Management/Productions positions. He retired to Phoenix in 1998. He was preceded in death by son Michael Scott of Juneau, AK. He is survived by his son Jason Scott and grandchildren Jake Scott and Brittany Mattix of WA; his brother David Scott (Maxine) AZ; nieces and grandnieces and nephews in AZ, CA, IA, and NE; his BFF Tomi Richardson, and his beloved dog Buttons.

Cremation arrangements entrusted to Heritage Mortuary and burial celebration to take place at 11 am on Oct. 19, 2018 at the Veterans National Cemetery of AZ at 23029 Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ. Reception following at Azool Grill, 3134 W. Carefee Hwy, Phoenix, 85086.
