Award-winning folk singer and activist Tom Neilson will be performing at Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 882 Sunset Ave, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3.

Dubbed “The Jon Stewart of folk music,” Neilson sings satirical, political songs about such topics as mines, pipelines, GMOs and the Trans-Pacific Partnership. At the forefront in helping communities organize against water privatization, mountain-top removal, nuclear energy, incinerators, fracking and toxic waste, Neilson’s travels are reflected in his songs, intertwined with farm roots and connected to social justice.

Sponsored by the Sierra Club and Prescott Move to Amend, a donation of $15 is suggested and all proceeds will be donated to SaveTheDells.org. For more information, call 928-777-1540.
