Join the Phippen Museum at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, for an afternoon of fun and laughter as Brad Newman, musician and executive director of Yavapai Exceptional Industries, regales museum members and visitors with tales of his adventures in Arizona.

Newman will recount his adventures rafting on the Colorado and traveling through the Grand Canyon, one of the greatest natural wonders in the world. In addition to his many other talents, Newman has worked on the mighty Colorado as a boatman for Canyon River Discovery.

This presentation is free for museum members and guests with paid general admission. Visitors also may enjoy the current exhibitions, “Cool, Cool Water” in the Marley Gallery through July 22, and “New Acquisitions to the Phippen” in the James Gallery through Aug. 12.

The Phippen Museum is located at 4701 Highway 89. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
