Vehicle vs Pedestrian/Bicyclist; The time for who is to blame for traffic collisions involving vehicles vs. pedestrians/bicyclists needs to stop. Law enforcement has to take aggressive enforcement action and cite not warn violators regardless if driving, walking or riding.

Without aggressive enforcement, statistics will grow and everyone will still be talking about this issue. I attend monthly retired law enforcement and Yavapai County Veteran Association meetings where many attendees have stated they have observed law enforcement units from all Yavapai County agencies ignore these violations.

When drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists realize law enforcement does not care they will continue to violate the law and the problem will grow. However, when the law is strictly enforced for residents and visitors the word gets out. Ask any cop who worked for a law enforcement agency where aggressive enforcement is the rule not the exception.
