I am writing regarding the front page story regarding smartphone addiction. Although it is easy enough to believe such an addiction exists simply by looking around any group of people in public, I hardly feel it justifies so much print space. I would suggest that there are stories of interest which could have a much larger impact on our lives here in Prescott.

I am following closely the international story about the impending water disaster unfolding in the Cape Town South Africa region. Officials there are running a countdown clock toward Zero Water Day, when a region of 4 million people could completely run out of water. I believe this cautionary story could offer Arizona residents food for thought, and hopefully action, as a look to the consequences of our water usage. Water is an undependable finite resource, upon all life depends.
