The City of Prescott is scheduled to begin reconstruction projects along Rosser Street this week, the city has announced in a statement. Work may occur from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, along Rosser Street, from Campbell Avenue to just east of Eagle View Drive, according to the statement.
Lane restrictions, reduced speeds, rough road conditions and flagging operations are likely throughout the work zone, the city said and urged motorists to allow for extra time to get through the area or use an alternate route. The improvements include removing and replacing the paved surface with new asphalt and reconstruction of a detention basin at the corner of West Rosser Street and Campbell Avenue. Additionally, new sidewalk, curb and gutter and driveway entrances will be replaced. The project, scheduled for completion this summer, is intended to relieve storm-water runoff in areas around the detention basin and to provide a smoother road surface.
