Plan details needed

Editor:

Jason Gisi, CEO of Arizona Eco Development, presented his thoughts in a recent Talk of the Town in the Courier. Many of his statements appeared to be misleading, from the list of benefits his development would bring to the City of Prescott to his odd characterization of Save the Dells as a narrow-minded self-interest group.

Regarding the latter, those interested in gaining a clear picture of Save the Dells philosophy and aims should visit www.savethedells.org and follow the link to the Position Paper. Save the Dells is very clear in seeking a win-win situation that would protect our iconic Granite Dells for the benefit of current and future residents and visitors while respecting private property rights.

In the opening paragraph of Gisi’s letter, he states that AED will develop their property in a “sensitive and thoughtful manner…” and that “AED’s financial interests are aligned with the interests of the public.”

Unfortunately, these statements are impossible to judge. A detailed and transparent discussion can take place only after AED’s complete proposal goes before the City of Prescott planners and public meetings. I urge the public to carefully weigh the facts. Compare Gisi’s claims with his actual plan, and stand up for a solution that benefits all.
