Douglas Lavern Ezell

Douglas Lavern Ezell, age 93, passed away surrounded by loved ones, on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the VA Hospital (Hero Wing Hospice), in Prescott, Arizona. Doug was born in Lakeland, Florida; three years later his mother passed away. At that time he went to live with his aunt and uncle in Quitman, Mississippi, Doug joined the Army Air Corps in 1943, as an escort/fighter pilot until the end of World War II. Doug continued in the Air Force Reserves and Arizona National Guard (Copperheads).

After WWII he entered the car business, as well attended the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering (1964). Doug owned and operated new and used auto dealerships all over the state of Arizona. Doug is survived by his third wife of 33 years, Jenna Ezell; his six children, Douglas Ezell. Jr. (Cami), Richard Ezell, Christopher Ezell (Patti), Laura Ezell Dent, Lisa Ezell Bergman (Scott), Garth Ezell (Cris); three stepchildren, Mike George (Mary), Brian George (Rosemary), Kim George Weber (John); 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Aug. 11, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Prescott Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Rd., Prescott.
