A Lake Havasu City man whose pickup truck became lodged in large rocks north of Wickenburg got some help from the county’s search and rescue team on Friday, Oct. 6, said Dwight D’Evelyn, Yavapai County Sheriff’s spokesman.

At about 9 a.m., the 59-year-old man called dispatch to report that he was stuck and couldn’t give a good location to a towing company to come pull him out.

Despite spotty communication, Yavapai County Search and Rescue Team volunteers with 4x4 high-clearance vehicles were able to locate the truck, near the Scenic Loop Road.

They directed a tow driver to the area, and he was able to winch out the Chevy 1500 pickup.
