A food bank in Wales received a donation of a nearly 50-year-old can of soup.

The Cardiff food bank posted a photo on Twitter Thursday of a Heinz kidney soup can sporting a price tag of an outdated currency.

The post reads, "It's a record!! Never had a donation with 10d on before!"

Then the food bank gave this friendly reminder, "Please could we remind everyone that food donated needs to be in date! Thank you :)"

Food bank employees told local media that the donated can was 46 years old, and was dropped of along with a very old can of Del Monte carrots and a 1980s can of Green Giant sweetcorn.

In response, the official Twitter account of UK Heinz underscored just how old the soup was — explaining, "Wow! That soup was discontinued over 35 years ago."

Food bank organizers said the nearly half-century old Heinz "ready to eat" soup probably belonged in a museum.
