Why is everyone surprised that Prescott’s politicians have chosen to ignore common sense and allow contractors to pile houses next to the airport, alongside roads that cannot carry even a major portion of the drivers on them now in busy hours? Contractors mean “money”… and what barely-limited growth will mean in poor and loaded roads, overloaded services and empty water pipes is not important to a contractor. They hire the cheapest help they can hope will do the job, throw up the houses, and disappear to do business under another “corporate name” in another undeveloped area. The game has gone on in Arizona for 100 years. Obviously, the average voter is too dumb to see it, much less stop it.
