Lois “Mimi” Martin Blankenship turned 100 this year.

She spent her early years in South Dakota where she taught dance and raised her family.

When she retired to Prescott, she reinvented herself and taught local children dance, offered modeling and manners classes, hosted preschool at the Presbyterian Church, produced and directed pageants and recitals around the area, taught Sunday School at the Presbyterian Church, composed lyrics and music with Wilma Watkins, wife of the late Reverend Donald Watkins, and the list goes on.

Even nearly blind, she continues to dance and write poetry as we speak.
